Dad you told me just the other day
You were the most fortunate man alive

As tears welled in your eyes you said
Son I have everything that money just can't buy

Just look at all the poeple who are praying
for me to get better every day.

You mentioned each & every friend
who checked on you and what they had to say

You told me how you missed your job.
I said dad I know, As I began to cry

They are all really worried about you dad
I know son you said, there a good bunch of guys

I really got a big old smile
Out of the next thing you had to say.

You know Charlene cares alot about me
She checks on me several times a day.

Dad talked about John and Kerry and a long list of younger ones
He said you know I loved them all just like they were my sons

He talked about brother Jamie and also brother Glenn
Baldy, Charlie, Curtis, Cotton, Billy and many other dear friends

As we got close to Tulsa He said
Son I've had a real good life.

But the thing that made me happiest
was Ann my precious wife.

Son I really love your momma
She's worried and scared I can see

So if something was to happen
You kids take care of her for me

I'm so proud of all my family
My Children & Grandchildren I love each and every one

You will never know how much your comming up here
Really means to me Son

The other kids knew we had a talk
I'm sure they wondered what he had to say

I love each sister and brother so much
It is time tell them all today

Dad It is truly sad that down here
Some are measured by their net worth
