Hey Viola!!

Happy Easter to you too!! Sorry I haven’t e-mailed lately but with a new set of Marines here we’ve been pretty busy. How was your Easter? I spent mine on sick call. I don’t mind working on holidays, it makes the time go faster and I don’t have a lot of time to set around missing my family. I did call my Wife and kids, and Mom and Dad yesterday. It’s seems like holidays are harder on my Wife and Mom.
What was really amazing is some of the nurses dyed some eggs!! I couldn’t believe it. I got to my station and had a couple Easter eggs on my gear. Kinda made me tear up. They knew I had kids at home and wanted it to feel like Easter. Those gals are something.
I missed the church service but our Captain said a prayer before our shift. I know that’s not the same as going to church but I think out here every little bit helps.
Wow, rain and grass sounds great. I told my wife I was looking forward to mowing and she said she would let it grow till I got home. I told her she didn’t need to wait that long. Oh yeah, I’m going home at the end of May!! This is my third tour and I since I’ve been here so much I get a month off when I get home. Our replacements arrive in 3 weeks and once they’re up to speed we leave.
Well, I’m going to the Iraqi camp to finish up some last minute stuff so I’ll talk you later.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter and I’ll talk to you later.

YEAH!!!!! your coming home to your family!!!! I've been praying for that my friend. We had a great Easter.
We had chili dogs, chips, & all kinds of sweets. It was raining so we didn't hide eggs but we had about 300 eggs with candy, money & numbers for stuffed anamils in them. The kids all seemed to have a good time. I was going to cook for my family but we decided to wait until another day, Daughter was sick & son had to work. But I had grandkids whewww what a blast. My little red head played so hard he fell asleep at church Sunday night . We had so much food we had left overs at church Sunday night;O)

Hey friend you don't have to be in church to talk to the Lord:o) There are so many prayers going up for you guys. I requested prayer for your family over here as well as you, And the rest of everyone over there.

We have a Health & Wellness here in Stigler that was started on a grant from the goverment. I am on the board & we had an open house last week, It was pretty kewl:o) We have a excellant CEO and Her staff. We won an award for purchasing an old walmart building and making it into a clinic. It has a full staff of medical, dental, & soon to have an eye Dr as well. Our visit cost is on a sliding scale so the everyone can be seen. Anyway the open house was fun but I felt so out of place there were all these big shots:O) Our State Rep, Sentor, Bankers from Tulsa, FCIA, and lots more:o) They were all nice though. To keep our grant we have to expand we have a small clinic in Eufaula, & Sallisaw. We also purchased a Pharmacy here in Stigler. It is doing great. If a prescription is filed by a client from our clinic they get their meds at a discount. People that nomally couldn't afford to see a dr can go and get medical treatment.

Well friend I've gotta go You take care and Hurry & get back here to your Family:o) God keep his arms around you and keep you safe, Chat at you later--Vi

Hey ya Viola!!

Hey, send me an e-mail at jevanssrgt22@hotmail.com
I'll send you some pics from over here!
I've got some of me and the Iraqi's as well as some from around the airfield.
How ya been?? I've been getting ready for more of the 508th to show up especially my replacement.
Nice group of guys but they're new to Iraq. It's funny seeing new companies arrive. Especially the reservist, God love them. They're all gung-ho and full of the "Killer Instinct". I don't think they realize this place is days of boredom with a little terror mixed in now and then just to keep you on your toes.
They always want to know what it was like here in 2003-04. I tell them this is a cake walk compared to then. We call Al Asad camp cupcake it's calmed down so much.
Oh well, just got in a couple Marines with colds so I got to run. I'll send you those pis!

I would like to ask anyone that reads this to take time to Thank Our Men & Women that are severing Our Country wherever it might be. These Soliders are sacarficing alot for You & all of us. I know the economy is bad Here & it is hard times for all but maybe you could donate to the Blue Star Mothers, maybe your church could get a care package together. You may think how can just a very little help, well a lot of very little adds up to alot of enough:o) Our Youth is putting together some goodies to send their first package:o) They are taking this out of their account. I am so proud of them. Anyway At least give Our Soldiers a big THANK YOU when you can. My friend is going to be home with His family soon. I am sure they are excited. You know the families of these soldiers are sacarficing as well so If you know someone that is going through this help them as well. Later Vi
