I would love for any one of the commissioners to answer these three questions. Why wasn't the site for the jail discussed before presenting the people with the idea of voting in a raise in sales tax? Why does the county own site one for 1/4 million dollars and now looking at other sites to buy for the jail? Isn't this like "getting the cart before the horse?" Maybe now each commissioner can understand why alot of people are really disgusted with the way they are "handling" the counties resources. Just a few thoughts that has been troubling me about this jail that we do need.

It would appear that the Commissioner's are finally getting the horse behind the cart now, but I am thinking maybe they all waited too long to do this. Oh yes, I did some research and the property that was the at the top of the listed, was not purchased as rumors would have the people believe. Although, I am very certain that it would have made no difference if it had been a piece of land that the county would have bought and paid for now at this point, since there has been so much flack raised about the first site that was choosen and almost bought. In fact it would seem that the Commissioner's had made their minds up to a point anyway, they did have county employees and equipment clean and get rid of the debris of the former building. At least that is what the rumors are on the property getting cleaned up. If that is the case, I am curious if the previous owners or the current owners will pay the county for such a good fast clean job. HMMMM maybe they violated the law by running in there and cleaning the lots up, before the actual sale...HMMM interesting... ![[no]](azbb_center/skin/pearl/naughty.gif)

San Bois Queen, what qualifies you to make that decision?
I was only curious if they had broken the law!
It is my opinion that there is a strong possibility that they have indeed broken the law. This is not a surprise to me and I am very certain that I am not the only one in the county that has the same opinion. I am also absolutely sure that there are many in this county that would not let their opinions be known for various legit reasons. It is my wish that some day we will have someone, be it male or female run for a commissioner's post, that will indeed have the people that they represent and all of the people of the county in mind and do their best to represent them in a lawful and decent way, not have a select few in their district that they represent and only them, instead of all of their voters of this county. You know there just may be something to the phrase: UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!!!
As I see it, not one of the commissioners are keeping in mind that the money that is proposed to be spent on the jail belongs to each and every person in the county and the visitors of this county that buy products from our merchants, not just a select few of each district that the commissioners represent. It would indeed be grand if they themselves could be united and not divided on this decision regarding the people of the entire county.
